A Systematic Review of Biomedical and Psychosocial Factors for Suicide: An Islamic Perspective

Suicide is a complex public health problem of global dimension with un-even distribution rates. The objectives this review to describe the concept suicide, its causes and preventive measures in light glorious Qur’an ahadith/sunnah as principal sources Maqasid Al-Shari’ah Islam. Descriptive study design was used data collected from published articles, books, news reports. findings show that suicide may be caused by social-economic factors; catalysed psychological problems, mental illnesses, physical genetics medication. Qur’an, 4:29 has strictly forbidden people kill themselves, while various ahadith have made it clear whoever kills himself something, Allah (SWT) will punish him whatever he killed Hellfire. guidelines prevent include strengthening personal relationships, reciting comprehending supplication, ruqya, patience reliance Allah(SWT).
